The deal also establishes an AI Center of Excellence in Islamabad, expands Google Career Certificates, and applies AI to agriculture and small businesses, aiming to boost digital skills and IT exports.

Global return-to-office mandates are surging, fully in-office roles rose from 65% to 87% in early 2026. But this can benefit Pakistani remote workers: when Western firms force local staff back to offices, some quit, and companies increasingly fill roles with international remote talent. For cost-effective, skilled Pakistani workers, this shift may expand global opportunities.
